The Jennifer Michener Brand is a story of legacy, resilience, and love, built by a multi-disciplinary creator who refused to be defined by anyone else's limits.
Jennifer Michener is a songwriter, author, fashion designer and entrepreneur, born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is the great-great niece of the late American Author James A. Michener and the sister of American Author Andrea M. Michener, so storytelling runs deep in her family.
Jennifer's creativity knows no limits. In just seven years she has written more than 4,000 songs across 10 genres (available on Songbay). As an author, she invites readers to see the world from a different perspective. As a designer, she creates high-end, handmade shoes and accessories for men and women, many with matching pieces. Her next venture is an invention called Build-A-Bible, coming soon.
The Stories Behind the Brands
Jennifer is an out-of-the-box thinker with more dreams than one label could hold, and every brand she creates has a personal story behind it.
- Wali was her first brand, inspired by the person whose love first drew her to fashion design.
- Moxex (pronounced "Moses") honors her youngest son, Moses, with a spelling as unique as she is.
- J•LOVE combines the "J" in her name with the word she lives by, reflecting the love she holds for everyone.
- Jennifér, ♡Unique♡, Uniquely YOUnique and ♡Jennifer♡ grew out of creative problem-solving. When the names she first wanted were taken, she gave them her own signature twist.
- Michener was created so her father could see the family name on her designs, as a tribute to him and to the family legacy.
- Jennifer Michener is her statement of resilience. After years of being bullied and put down, both in person and online, she put her own name on her work to show that she never gave up.
Her Mission
Jennifer designs so that everyone who wears her work feels beautiful, sexy, confident, happy, and reminded that they matter. Through her books, she hopes readers will understand her way of thinking and see life from a new perspective.
